CGRA Poster Competition Requirements

 

Participants are invited to submit an original poster design for the CGRA Poster Competition. All entries must meet the following requirements:

• Poster Size: 11 x 17 inches (portrait orientation preferred)

• Original Work: Designs must be the original work of the artist. No copyrighted images, stock art, or AI-generated content may be used unless explicitly permitted.

• Theme: Artwork should reflect CGRA, rodeo culture, western pride, and community spirit.

• Content: Posters must be appropriate for all audiences and align with CGRA values.

• Text: Required event text (if provided) must be clearly legible and included exactly as specified.

• Color & Style: Full color is encouraged; artistic style is open to the designer

• File Format: Digital submissions must be high-resolution (300 DPI preferred) in PDF, JPG, or PNG format.
  
  Important: Make sure your artwork is on multiple layers and not flattened, so edits can be made if necessary. 
  
  Deadline: All entries must be submitted by February 5, 2026.

 

Prize: The selected winning design will receive a $100 cash prize.

A CGRA logo is available in the button below and may be incorporated into the design if needed.

Print & Bleed Requirements

To ensure posters print correctly without white edges, all designs must include bleed:

• Include 0.125 inches (1/8 inch) bleed on all sides

• Final document size with bleed should be 11.25 x 17.25 inches

• Extend background colors and images fully into the bleed area

• Keep important text and logos at least 0.25 inches inside the trim area

• PDFs should be exported with bleed and crop marks enabled

By submitting an entry, artists grant CGRA permission to use the artwork for promotional purposes, with credit given to the artist whenever possible.
